The band's press release is as follows:
Following their incredibly successful year, which has seen them scoop the prestigious Best Single Award at the Kerrang! Awards for their last single, ‘The Kill’, on 4th February 30 Seconds To Mars will release the single ‘From Yesterday’.

‘From Yesterday’ is a slow building, bombastic song, reminiscent of U2 circa the Joshua Tree album. It recently reached no.1 on the U.S. Modern Rock Chart, ascending to the top slot after 22 weeks. The song demonstrated a longevity that recalled the band’s previous smash, ‘The Kill’.

The accompanying video was made by reclusive Danish director Bartholomew Cubbins, who the band worked with previously on their Kubrick-inspired, award-winning video, ‘The Kill’. It continues the epic scope first introduced in that video, switching between present day North America and Emperor-period China. Lasting nearly 14 minutes, with a strong narrative and intermittent dialogue, it’s more a short film than a music video. Links to the video below.

The band’s album A Beautiful Lie was this week declared Gold status by the BPI.

The band recently sold out their largest & most extensive UK tour to date; 24,000 tickets in two weeks. Due to this overwhelming demand, an additional Hammersmith Apollo show was been added for 7th February.
