ICS Vortex (Simen Hestnæs) joined Borknagar on stage yesterday (23.10.02), when the band played at RockIn in Oslo, Norway.
Vortex recorded “Quintessence” and “The Archaic Course” with Borknagar before he quit, spending more time playing bass and doing backing vocals in Dimmu Borgir. Vintersorg joined the band right before they recorded their latest effort “Empiricism”.
Many Borknagar fans have dreamt of seeing Vortex perform with his old band again, and yesterday history was written, when he was welcomed on stage playing their classic “Colossus” (written by Vortex and Asgeir Mickelson).

This gig was to be one of many, as Borknagar were supposed to do a European tour in October. But the bus company heightened their prizes and since no other busses were available the whole tour was cancelled.
