Ark’s vocalist Jorn Lande has left the band. The reason for this is that Tore Ostby and John Macaluso wanted to enter the studio within a short time, but Jorn wanted more time to work on songs and stated that he don't want to do it in a hurry. Jorn says it takes time to do a follow-up to the excellent "Burn the Sun" CD. The guys are still good friends.
The rumor says that Ark have split with Inside Out Records and are currently seeking a new record deal. ARK, who recently entered Area 51 Studios in Celle, Germany with producer Tommy Newton (Helloween), are now believed to have put the sessions on hold while they seek out a suitable replacement for Lande.
Jorn will be heading out on tour with Masterplan early next year as support for HammerFall.
