Honestly? If you can afford it, get both. Human is my favourite Death album, but The Sound of Perserverance is probably a good starting point if you're not already into death metal.

Though I have to say, Human was the first Death metal album I heard, and at that point I wasn't majorly into death metal..

You really can't go wrong with any of the Death albums. My first was Human aswell. Its still my favourite, just.

Heartwork is completely overrated. A brilliant album, but by no means the utter masterwork people give it credit for.

Sorry but anyone who doesn't like an album as much just because of its production isn't a fucking music fan. I have some albums that have very questionable production but that doesn't ake them bad albums whatsoever.

I am pretty glad I'm going to see Rodrigo Y Gabriela live, they make some amazing music!
Yeah their cover of Orion is pretty epic, they were on the Nightmare Before Christmas remake cd, which had KoRn and Marilyn Manson amongst others covering the TNBC songs, which was pretty awesome in itself for a loser like me.

Picked up Krisiun's "Southern Storm" a few days ago and I can't believe I had never heard Krisiun before, they're fuckin' brilliant! definitely recommend everyone to check them out.

i fuckin hate Meshuggah and their shitty guitar tone and the guy's crappy vocals.

Krisiun are okay, they're definitely fast and brutal.. not very memorable songs though.

anyways, i highly recommend Polish death metal..
