Anyone know the deal on the distro of ESP?

I ordered a guitar from a store an EC-500 in Flat Black with EMG's and the sales people at the store told me it would take a few months but then i went into the shop and talked to the sales rep about it and he explained to me that there is a big issue with a company counterfeiting their guitars so they have distribution on hold or something like that. Anyone know anything about tis at all or what the deal is?

As far as I know, ESP hasn't stopped distribution. They have always been very slow about shipping out guitars though.
