I need keyboard advice.

I want to play the keyboard again. I used to play it at school but I dropped out of music class. (Which I really, really regret doing. I'm not sure why I changed. I think I didn't know anybody in my music class and I was too shy back then to make new friends, heh.)

So, I have a few questions:

Q1. What popular keyboard brands are there and how much do they cost in Australian dollars? What are they like?

Q2. What's a good starter keyboard to buy?

Q3. Are second-hand keyboards alright to buy?

In addition, I would love to produce sounds similar to the keyboardist from Children of Bodom. What kinds of keyboard brands should I buy to do this?

Thanks in advance.

I have no idea how much they are in Australia, but the Roland Juno D is a great keyboard for the money.

Welcome to the forum.

1 - Roland, Korg, Yamaha are all good makers as far as what models to get thats depending on budget.

2 - All the makers have some decent bottom line synths, Korg X50, Roland Juno D, Yamaha MM6 and s03.

3 - User keyboards are fine to purchase. My last 2 boards purchased were used.
