I recorded a clip: ESP Horizon, DiMarzio Evo, and my rig

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=6871137

The guitar I used for this is the ESP Horizon NT-II, with a DiMarzio Evolution bridge humbucker. Right side is ENGL E530 preamp, left side is Marshall JMP-1 preamp. Plugged direct in using GuitarHack cabinet impulses.

I LOVE the DiMarzio Evolution. This pickup kicks ass! It's very clear, defined, and articulate, with a ton of character. The DMZ website doesn't lie when it says your chops need to be top notch though, this thing shows mistakes much better than the other pickups I've tried.

Sounds good. Didn't really blow me away, probably because it was mostly chugging.

No. It's a song I'm working on for my new CD.

Gotta say, the part with the synths and the drums alone feels like it's missing something. Like a bass solo.

You're a very perceptive listener... I didn't record the bass part for that.

The guitars sound awesome. The rest sounds kinda Casio. Hop on down to the Andy Sneap forum and see how Fuge and Bulb make Addictive Drums and Superior Drummer 1/2 into musical mastery.

Thanks for checking it out!

When I make a guitar track, I throw the backing track together really quickly... so that everything else sounds kinda meh, doesn't surprise me.
