Ibanez, basically because they make the best cheap guitars, and I can't afford a nice guitar...I got one of the $600 RGs (for under $300 ) and I really like it. If I could afford a nice guitar...Jackson or Gibson. Dream guitar would be a soloist, but the Rhodes are badass too.

Ibanez is alright, i guess... but not if you're really serious. Well, I take that back. As long as you don't get an RG or something, they're ok. But I have to say ESP. My old Ibanez RG satisfied me until I started getting serious, and then I realized how mush it sucked when I got my hands on an ESP!

I personally went with Ibanez because I myself have had the best luck with them. I've played more Ibanez's that I truly like than any other guitar.
I own a Jackson KE-2 with Steve Vai Evolutions that I quite likc.
I've played on some genuine ESP's that were really great & I've also played some $2,000 ESP's that I did not like...
Hamer & Carvin both make great fucking guitars. For my next guitar I hope to either buy a Carvin DC177 or a Ernie Ball John Petrucci Music Man I did research months ago, but I really do not know what to buy at this point.

while back i woulda said that i was exclusivly dean, but....i;ve had some really great guitars, and at great prices. First off, local shop got an Ibanez S320 in that they were gonna sell for 300, but siad they'd let me have for 200. I have not regretted buying that guitar 1 bit, has a very full sound for something so thin and i don;t think i;ve ever played a guitar so light. The stock pickups do great just that the neck pos. PU is a little bland and i wouldn't mind swapping it out. my other little turning point is my schecter Damien 7, i was origintally going to get an Ibanez as a 7-string but at the point i got this i had never really played one so i went with a slightly more expensive option mainly because i liked the finish and the fact that it came with a set of EMG's. great guitar, but EMG 7 string pickups can get a bit muddy at times and i;ve spent alot of time playing with tings trying to get em right where i wanted em but other than that i;ve no problems with it. seems i've stepped away from my old ways (set and neck thru only and a floyd) quite alot lately, and altho the Ibanez has a flaoting trem it;s alot less moody than a floyd rose trem, doesn;t eat strings like a floyd either.
