Bleh. After reading an SMT discussion I think I'm going to have to give Digital Devil Saga a third chance. The thought of the main character being able to rival the Demifiend (Nocturne) in power makes me wonder if the story line ever got better.

Still one 3rdish level of Republic Commandos.
Don't even know how to gauge where I am in KOTOR. In Chapter 4 or 5 of Portal 2. I'm a gamin' maniac.

I kept reading all about it myself, and about how it's you know "the best game ever made" or whatever, but have never gotten around to playing either of them personally. I'll probably have to force myself to play the first one day just to see what all of the hype is about, but I don't like paying full price for a three hour game.

Yeah me too. Granted, it could be the coolest thing ever, but a game all about jumping through holes in the wall just doesn't appeal to me.

Agreed. Puzzle games just piss me off. If I play a game with puzzles, it's usually only to get through it so I can continue playing.

The Zelda and God of War games would have been way more enjoyable without puzzles.
Anyway, I finally reloaded my hour save into L.A Noire and started playing it for real, and I haven't put down the controller in about 10 hours. Wow! What a game. |

Hah! That was the very first game that came to mind when thinking about games with puzzles that got it wrong. I did like the first two Abe (Odyssey) games however quite a bit as well as Blackthorne and one or two of the first few Lemmings. Last edited by Sdrawkcabgniklat : July 13th, 2011 at 11:37 AM. |

I don't like puzzle games. Only faggots and sailors play puzzle games.

Portal 2 is awesome, fuck the haters. It's pretty simplistic (as far as I can tell, haven't beaten it) in that you basically learn new techniques and then try them out on puzzles, then move through more puzzles with all you know etc, but it is really fun and the humor is great. Can't speak for portal 1 though.
Just beat Hitman: Blood money again, and damn it was fun. makes me dread the next game since they're changing the formula so much but oh well, could be cool; it felt awesome when I SPOILER felt the game was over and i felt so betrayed, then busted out my guns and shot everyone to death SPOILER. now that is a good way to settle a cliffhanger haha! i'm now starting on a replay of Deus ex 1 and 2 in prep for HR. I'm going to try styles I haven't before and I've installed graphics mods, looks pretty damn good and deus ex 1 is still more innovative and engrossing than many modern games.
