Agalloch

I always thought this band deserved more attention. I have yet to see a band that can take you on such a journey through a sorrowful story about life. It's just so brilliant. The vocals are amazing, so earthy, and they blend beautifully with the the melodies, percussion, and riffs. The Mantle is a very very deep album. One would have to listen to it ample times to sit back and take in the awe. I have yet to see a band that captures the art of music like Agalloch.

You all owe it to yourselves to at least check out this full length song off The Mantle entitled ...And The Great Cold Death Of The Earth>>>>

Their music is mostly Death-Doom with some Folklore. Their music is so refreshing. It's a drastic change up from what most music is about. It's mainly about nature and the sadness in life. If you want depressing music like no other, look no further.

Edit: Sorry if this band has been mentioned before.

I agree with you. I have never heard music as great as that that is on The Mantle.

I found it a little boring. A bit too Pagan.
