I always thought this band deserved more attention. I have yet to see a band that can take you on such a journey through a sorrowful story about life. It's just so brilliant. The vocals are amazing, so earthy, and they blend beautifully with the the melodies, percussion, and riffs.
The Mantle is a very very deep album. One would have to listen to it ample times to sit back and take in the awe. I have yet to see a band that captures the art of music like Agalloch.

Their music is mostly Death-Doom with some Folklore. Their music is so refreshing. It's a drastic change up from what most music is about. It's mainly about nature and the sadness in life. If you want depressing music like no other, look no further.
