Nightwish prominently featured on Metal Evolution

VH1-Classic here in the U.S. has been running an 11 part series on the evolution of heavy metal, produced by the same guy who did "A Headbanger's Journey." Tonight's episode was on power metal, and while it jumped all over the place, 45 minutes in, Nightwish took over the show. Tuomas and Tarja are interviewed (separately, of course) and they make no mention of the fact she's been out of the band for six years. And I could have choked him for saying Nightwish and DragonForce in the same sentence.

But still, Sam gave them big props.

VH1 repeats its shows a lot. If you missed it, it will repeat again. Just look for the power metal episode of Metal Evolution.

Am I the only one who likes Dragonforce?

I did see the show last night, and there is a news article about it on the OSA site.

I also loved that Stratovarius got some props too.
