YES. I am on top of that shit. I heart NIN. I hope that it isn't a different sound. Surely though, Trent Reznor of all people would not sell out. I love the fact that his music isn't rushed. I want it to stay that way.

That's true. His music and lyrics are layered, a lot like shakespeare for today, although a little different..

Nine Inch Nails are my favorite band. I can't think of an album I don't like, even the remixed albums are good. Nine Inch Nails got me into industrial and from there that's how I got into metal. If it wasn't for NIN I wouldn't be into the metal bands I am into today. NIN got me to listen to Fear Factory because FF was an industrial metal band. I liked the aggressiveness of FF and from their I got heavier with my bands; eventually getting into the underground metal scene. I have a NIN tattoo on my arm if any of you want to see it, just send me a message if you like.

I agree that not one album is despisable. And the only song that I absolutely dislike is "Down In It." I hate it for some reason. Anyway, I got to see NIN for the first time this past summer. It was so amazing. I wish that everytime I felt like hearing Trent's vocals I could just call him up and have him perform for me. haha.

NIN amazing band period. PHM is a classic you can leave it on repeat for hours. The Fragile was and always will be his masterpiece though.

haha. Really? To me it seems like a cheap track that he threw together just to add another number to the playlist. I dunno. I'm glad someone likes it.

PHM is a good album with a few great tracks and really lame instrumentation/production. TDS is NIN's best album songwise and production wise.

Nah, the fragile had best production easily. In my opinion it had better songs too, but that's more subjective. PHM is really good for a debut though. I mean, redefining a genre for a debut is pretty good...

I like NIN, they get too much flak. This album is great, but they really stepped it up on their next effort (The Downward Spiral)

Pretty Hate Machine is one of the most easily accesible old skool industrial albums for the non-rivethead. It remains one of the few albums that I'll allow other people to refer to as "industrial" without verbally crucifying them on the spot. It holds an even softer space in my heart than The Downward Sprial, altho both are albums of incrediable virtuosity that manage not to sound dated ten years and more after their releases.

NIN still isn't Chemlab, Foetus, or the Swamp Terrorists, but back in the day they earned their merit badges.

The 'Broken' EP is my favourite NIN, although i've found enjoyment from all of their releases on some level. Really enjoyed Year Zero too, great album.
