Yes electronica is awesome when done well, the darker/weirder the better imo. Check out Scorn (Mick Harris' post-Napalm Death project), Amon Tobin, Squarepusher, Venetian Snares, SiBegg, Tipper, Krumelur.

I'm a huge fan of Infected Mushroom and Shpongle, and listen to Paul van Dyk and VNV Nation to a lesser extent. I consider VNV Nation the best of those, but they're a little dark for me to want to listen to regularly.
There's probably a ton of other electronic artists out there that I'd love, but I haven't explored the genre for shit yet.
