Here are a variety of samples (soft/heavy).... I'd love to hear your feedback on them, recording quality, etc... Thanks.

ok, here is a song by my band Verotha. I am the guitarist. But be warned: THIS IS NOT METAL. It's more of a Hendrix kind of thing. I let my Opeth influences out with my other band, Mantra (myspace.com/mantra5). we have an original song that should be up sometime soon, it sounds great and I'm sure you guys would like it.

Hey all. Here's a song I recorded last year while teaching a unit on the French Revolution at the High School where I used to work. I wouldn't really call it Opeth-like, but it's metal.
http://www.myspace.com/beyondentropy I got one of my students to do some guitar solos, and vocals on the chorus (his is the higher voice) and the opening scream. I'm doing all rhythm guitar, the harmonized solo at the end, bass, verse vox and deep chorus vox. No effects on the voice, btw (except the delay on the scream at the start). Just lots of tracks. I did all the drum programming on my digital recorder, so it's a bit limited compared to working with a live drummer. Oh and no amps were used on this recording. All modeling. Ain't technology grand? |

This has a more classic rock feel i guess. But see if you like it! I did this for the Guitarcenter competition, its recorded live.
