Metal Maniacs SUCKS because they are a Nu-metal magazine, and they are obsessed with bands like Sevendust, Korn, Slipnot, Disturbed....
Metal Hammer SUCKS because they are obsessed with bands like My Bloody Valentine, Trivium... BWBK and Terrorizer are the only ones worth reading. And OUTBURN Magazine is somewhat good. There magazine is full of metal and non-metal reviews and is good for reading. Cheers |

I just plain dont buy metal mags, full stop. By the time theyre printed, the news is already outdated, and there are many better reviews and interviews online anyway.
I think the last one I bought was Kerrang! (back when it WAS a metal mag) in 1988, a special issue for the Monsters of Rock festival, with Bruce Dickinson on the front holding a sign saying "DONNINGTON OR BUST!!!" sign. Jesus. That means its been 18 years since I bought that! |

And I've never bought a metal magazine myself. Seems like a waste of money when you have access to the internet. Though yes, you can't take the internet with you on the road (unless you have a nice laptop with wifi). |

I stopped trusting the press after Terrorizer (the only one I ended up bothering with), convinced me that 'Worlds Beyond The Veil' by Mithras would be a worthy purchase. "The greatest British album ever recorded", they said. It was, in fact, shit. So I no longer trust reviews.
Terrorizer still wins for content though. |
