Voice
I'm in need of bands/groups with cool use of voice. Please?
i got some, like Buenos Aires Hora 8 - Choir from Argentina, very innovative, like from the 70's... those noises and harmonies. Duofel - ok its not voice, 2 acoustic guitars(one 12'' and one regular) but they sound fantastic like anything with those layers and the sound is so warm-like Tri Yann - Tri Martolod. Bobby McFerrin - . Last edited by a síctia : August 4th, 2006 at 12:50 PM. |

Isis - Voice used as another instrument rather than a vehicle to convey lyrics or anything (there are lyrics, but even with the sheet you'd be hard pressed to make out any of them)
Miranda Sex Garden/Mediaeval Baebes - Female choir type music, emphasis on vocals rather than music. Their discography (both bands) is kinda hit and miss but they're good if you're in the mood for that type of stuff. Incredible voices. |

Give the following albums a try:
The Bulgarian Voices "Angelite" feat. Huun-Huur-Tu - "Fly, Fly My Sadness" (especially the song "Legend") Sainkho Namtchylak - "Naked Spirit" Suden Aika - "Suden Aika" (especially the 19-minute epic "Enkelit") Hulu Project feat. Stepanida - "TranceSiberia" Kate Bush - "The Dreaming" Atrox - "Contentum" and "Terrestrials" |
