You can see everybody...gotta base something on the recordings. Maybe I'll change my mind when I see them in person.
Neither of them are my favorite...that's for sure...they're both good players. I really have a hard time listening to any COB and from any articles I've read, Laiho seems like a real dick. Again, I never said I was a fan.
The whole thing started when I wanted to point out some strengths of other good guitarists who seemed for some reason to be dismissed.
I haven't yet heard anything from Loomis that stops me in my tracks...nothing particlarly original or melodically or compositionally shattering. I own 4 albums and don't plan on buying anymore.
