Seriouley after listenin to "DO THE EVOLUTION"...even the heaviest death metal song

sounds kinda tame/mellow.....i dont know....something in Eddies voice when hes screaming/grunting in the last few passages...and the whole primitive feel of the song.....its jsut so heavy and chill inducing......I could listen to Nile...and it wont sound as heavy .....hahahaha.....anwyayz....Pearl Jam rocks.....so yeah......jsut thought I share this thought/felling......killer track....."I AM AHEAD I AM ADVANCED...I CALLED THE EARTH BUT NOW IM HIGH...!!!......PEAC EOUT

I like the version on one of those 300 live albums they released from their tour around then that has him change the lyrics to I AM THE FIRST MAN TO SHIT MY PANTS!

Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains are probably the only two grunge acts I can get into. Eddie is simply amazing.

I used to be very much into the whole 'grunge' thing a few years back and Pearl Jam was, without the shadow of a doubt, my favourite band. But nowadays if I happen to hear a piece of their music I can't help think way I was ever into that sort of thing at all. The whole scene is very, very bland musically. The only band from back then that I can still listen to with some pleasure is Dinosaur Jr. and even then it's pretty much restricted to their 'You're Living All Over Me' album.

And I can't really get into black metal. To each his own.

alice in chains wasn't technically grunge when you take into account the originators of that sound (mudhoney, screaming trees, other countless seattle bands on sub pop) they were closer to alternative metal.
