Yes, there's a huge difference from the "old dissection" to the new. I miss the folk moments a lot and I love their new sound, but we've only got 2 new songs for promotion so it's useless to rant about how their new sound is like, but it's not that harder to guess...I hope they get a decent contract soon, cuz I want to buy this album

I wouldn't regard it as funeral doom... The band itself says that they are only a little bit doomish and mix all kinds of metal styles together. And I think they do it pretty well. Actually, I find the samekinds of moods with Novembre and StS

Hell this album is really nice, members of Rain Paint still in Katatonia style (copy? ), maybe in a little softer way but once again lovely... check them out ![]()

lately i've been hooked on a single mp3 on my comp. the band is called ruins and the song is titled "eclipse of the soul". i dunno where i got it from, but it seems that this is a 2005 demo release by an US based black metal band. i like it very much.

One of the guys from that band hangs on this forum (or used to, haven't seen him posting here lately though and can't remember his username)
The band is pretty good, that song in particular reminds me of Novembre a lot! |
