Post Death in the Forest Metal Festival Planning

Let's try this for gathering people to plan the fest.
This thread is in the 'inner circle' part of the forums.. basically for staff members, bands, I have set up a public forum for this fest in the open forums under General Discussion. These should do fine until the site is up and the planning powers are ok with all of this. BTW, I just registered deathintheforest.com for these guys.

Just remember, bands need to direct their inquiries to the fest staff members running this gig. I'm just helping them host things on the net. So please don't ask me if you can be on the show. Hopefully you can use this forum to approach those who are running it and get the information everyone needs. Plus alot of this info will be posted on the site as well as the public version of this forum thread on http://forums.deathintheforest.com

it's been suggested to me that Recently Vacated Graves would be a good fit for this......but first i have to talk to the band about it, and also i need to get a better idea of what's my status with shroud.

edit: i just spoke to tim from RVG and he says he'd be very interested in getting RVG on the bill for this festival. you can check out some songs and info at http://www.myspace.com/rvgtzm and http://www.zombiemetal.com

btw, if it makes a difference at all, it was my friend Alex Schuster that said RVG would be a good fit on this festival.

Hey Ari, if you don't get on this fest (you need to chat with Matt/Nephillim above, then you should post you are looking for shows in the other threads... and tell them how far you'd travel. I'm personally trying to stay out of booking shows.

Hahaha it'll be odd if we're playing right before or after Anal Cunt...that would rule! We're a band with 13 minute songs, paired up with a band that plays 13 SECOND songs... It'll be even cooler if Seth starts talking shit from his wheelchair..

cool.. who are they? the guys in Nephillim? that's cool.
Does anyone want to post some art samples? I asked one of my great Lithuanian artists to post a sample banner we can use (like a 468x68 one) with a woody BM/death look... Also Matt said he had an artist working on things as well.. It will be cool to see what people would like to make for this great quest for metal.
