Share your thoughts on favourite beers/ales/bitters/milds, beer-type beverages you'd rather drink your own piss through a straw than ever sup again, etc etc

Me?

Favourite: Grolsch, Tuborg or Bumblebee. Or Wobblejuice. Or Adder's Fork.

Least favourite: Stella or Cumbrian Way. Have to be in the mood for the latter, and if there's a mood in which I find the former palatable, I've yet to find myself in it.

Aaaaaaaah, this looks like my kinda thread!
I'm still intending to make another pilgrimage to a little pub in the hills just outside Huddersfield, which is the only pub in the world that sells Linfit Leadboiler.
Until then, I find it hard to beat my very own home-brew.

Could well be. Should warn you though, it would come with a health warning if the Government inspector who tested it ever got his memory back.

Pfffft.

I have spent nights on Lachryma Vitis, the cheap local wine in Malta, that retailed at roughly 50p a litre. Not to mention many 'agricultural' retsinas that make Mr Muscle look like a refined beverage.

If I can survive encounters like those, I can handle the homebrew.

Fair enough. As long as you don't mind the fact that it causes you to grow large bushy sideburns and speak in a Welsh accent.

That's nothing compared to what some of the local retsinas in Greece'll do to you.

People think the yellow label stuff you get over here is rough...that's the only retsina in Greece that's anywhere near civilised enough to leave the country.

Ah see, razors don't work with the home-brew thatch. A chainsaw is of some limited use, but it's back to several inches long by next morning.
