I was merely pointing out that Gers, who I could careless about played good rock guitar on that album.

Maybe I overreacted, the album wasn't a joke (making jokes of that kind are costly, recording is not cheap). Bruce wanted to do something different from Maiden and pay a kind of tribute to the music he grew on with, he said so in an interview at the time. Hence personal songs like 'Born in 58' and the cover of 'All The Young Dudes'. And Gers probably was good for that kind of album but I feel he's not for Iron Maiden or the following Bruce solo material, but I bet any other guitar player could have done the same or better is not an album that requires that level of skill.

Never cared for his on stage antics. We've all seen someone toss their guitar in the air and spin around with the strap, so do we really need to see it 10 times per gig?? Saw them front row at the Forum in Feb and we hung out on Dave's side.
And Lauren fills out those leather pants quite nicely. Her stage banter could use some work though. "FOOKING 'ELL!"

well they often do talk about how many more possibilities there are live with 3 guitars. they said, especially on their last 3 albums, there have been many more guitar tracks and it helps to have 3 live instead of 2.
they are also probably great friends, as they are with adrian, and wouldnt be wanting to kick anyone out.
and at this point, id be surprised if anybody really wanted to see that happen.

Well here in lies the problem. I love this band, but they have not captured the 3-guitars never mind 2-guitars lately in thier production. Sometimes I can barely hear one guitar...and the 1-guitar we should hear more of is Adrians, he is the man. A great band with great material...but seriously under-produced at times!

I really would want that they kick him out and return to a mid 80's sound, but hey dreaming is tax free
