This is actually not a bad cover. Also they went back to the old logo. This is probably their best cover since the black album, even AJFA IMHO. And I'm willing to bet the GDP of an african nation that this is going to rock. and if it does, I bet you all the nay-sayers here will change their tune about the cover.
Besides, Metallica was never all that with any of their album covers. Ride The Lightning's was probably the best.

They defenatly had worse covers than this one (Load, Reload & St Anger)
Plus they'll have to try really hard if they want to bring out an album that sucks more than St Anger.
Also they're back to the old logo, which is cool.
In a nutshell, things can only get better.

The idea itself is cool and there's nothing really wrong with the color schemes etc...
...but it just looks like a certain thing I'm sure it's not supposed to look like.

Guys keep the tone of the forum lower. I deleted some posts that I believe may be considered offensive by some in here. Yes I know it resemblances something , the forum I took the news from explicitly name it, but here we have different rules.

It's almost like the quality of their music is directly correlated to the quality of the album cover.
Looking forward to see what they can do on this album anyway.

I guess I'm odd man out. I like this cover. I'm not expecting anything musically from them though. I've despised everything they've done from the Black album on.(except Garage Inc.)
Like Zep said at least they went back to the orignal Metallica logo. Maybe thats what the problem was. Think about it orignal Logo album=good , no logo album=suck. |

Cover looks great but to me they are gang of lawyers not musicians.
Now after all these years they want old fans back 'cause Metal is trend again...No thank you,there are plenty of METAL bands out there which are far way better then Metallica.

I never bought a album because of the cover, unless you are a 13 year old Hot Topic kid
Talk about lame covers what the hell is this...something out of DIO..and yet the songs on this album are one of the best Metallica songs of all-time
