Skykhan looks very competent. I'm serious.
About the thread, come on, it's impossible to choose only one...

Thanks for the compliment. It is really impossible to choose only one even five or ten. There were so many talented bands around and so much quality and creative piece of art by that time.

I'd hardly give Panic or Quick Change as examples of talented bands possessing so much quality and artistic creativity.

It is not a list or examples for talented bands with so much quality or creavitiy however I would not even change Panic or Quick Change to Fueled by Fire or Municipal Waste.

Hey Skykhan, what do you think about Whiplash (US)? Do you like them? It's one of my favorite Thrash Metal bands.

Yeah I like them. Most people prefer their Ticket To Mayhem and Power&Pain albums but my favourite is Insult To Injury.

Disregarding bands with only 1-2 releases... I think this would be my top 10:
1. Megadeth
2. Voivod
3. Slayer
4. Artillery
5. Sepultura
6. Coroner
7. Holy Moses
8. Sodom
9. Anthrax
10. Overkill
Honorable mentions go out to Flotsam and Jetsam, Nuclear Assault, Helstar and Agent Steel (Though they're more power/speed).

There were just so many great Thrash/Speed Metal bands in the 80s, it's hard to pick a favourite. But if pushed i'd go for Kreator, Agent Steel and Overkill.
