Very good song. I forgot to add that.

Have you heard their new CD 'the interzone mantras', Pappa Opeth?? It's really good, totally different to Triptych. It's alot darker, and the songs are actually somewhat more progressive (?).
I have their new CD - it is definately a progression for them - thus, it will take me a little longer to digest.

I really need to check out and look deeper into The Tea Party. I heard "Temptation" a while back and really liked it. I knew that there was something about them, but at the time it seemed like more or less a one hit wonder or just a band with one or two good songs on an album. I have seen metalmancpa talking about them several times. Other people have also mentioned them on a regular basis. So, it's about time I check them out extensively. How many albums do they have, and which one do you all recommend? I really would like to (re-)discover this band. Thanks.

It's nice.

Hey Metalmancpa, are you much a fan of The Doors?

I just downloaded 'The end', but it is played and sung by Travis Meeks from Days of the new... It's... interesting.

MY personal favorite album is Edges of Twilight. From that album, songs I find amazing are:
Fire In The Head
The Bazaar
Inanna
Sister Awake

From the album Tryptych:
Samsara

try these songs, and I'd like your reaction.

Believe it or not - I only like a few Doors songs - for some reason, I never really followed them. I was too into Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith back in the day.

My favorite Doors song is Spanish Caravan - also, People Are Strange and a few others, but I am not well versed in the Doors.

sorry

Someone already mentioned Burzum's Hvis lyset tar oss and Filosofem.

Other ones that I have taken an audio trip with:

Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger
Agalloch - Pale Folklore
Ulver - Metamorphosis EP
Ulver - Nattens Madrigal
Bathory - Hammerheart

Last but not least, yet the most surprising:

Death - Symbolic

Just read the lyrics once before listening and then listened to the album. Woke up to the last sounds of the acoustic guitar of Perennial Quest. I was quite stunned to say the least.

...Its all good.

I'm not really a fan myself, but they do have a common thread and similarity to The Tea Party and Days of The New etc.

Just idle-question-asking.
