Unofficial opeth forum - The roundhouse

If your interested In posting in an unofficial opeth forum, there is one up and running.

I know its a bit premature, but its underway.

Its nothing special yet but once I get the hang of things everything will be schweet.

Please feel free to drop in and make some suggestions.

Even if that suggestion is "get fucked, you tosser" at least that'll be one post, thats not by me.

If there is enough interest than things will start to look better and such.
Im just not willing to invest time in something that isnt going to fly.

Still unable to post. Still, if it encourages you to keep tinkering with it, I greatly appreciate the effort put forth to establish a gathering place for this community. I didn't post as often as I should have, especially considering I've been browsing these forums for months with less than a handful of posts; regardlesss, Photoshopeth has been one of the most uplifting experiences of recent memory, and I didn't have a shit day as long as I could stop by these forums.

I suggest that you make it look appealing before suggesting anyone to join in. Right know, it just looks like like any regular forum that you can get for free. The opethforum.com still appears to me as the best idea. Sure right now it's only a link to here. But we could possibly make an almost identical forum as this one. Making a good design for a forum is pretty easy to be honest. Metal_Wrath should try something.

Hey guys. The Opeth forum, which maybe you have visited or have been an active member in just like me, is about to be closed and archived due to a decision of the band's leader Mikael Akerfeldt. The motivations lie in some recent issues concerning the overall disrespect between members and the increasing trolling. The exact and detailed reasons are quoted below by Mr. Akerfeldt himself...

So that's it. This thread has been made for all those who desire to keep the forum alive elsewhere and want to keep in contact with others. You can give suggestions and ideas for a new place to locate the future "Official but Non-Official" Opeth forum, design ideas, hosting, url, etc.

This place will stay strong until we find ourselves a new home. We must look forward now, fellows and brothers.

Guys, why don't we ask MetalAge to transfer this to the unofficial part? so it will maintain the same layout and (good) members.
Otherwise, we just make a dependent forum dedicated to opeth discussion, as Nasty said, with good design and runs with vBulletin while we are all used to it.

I think it's complicated to transfer all this to another place where it'd be "unnofficial". The biggest problem for me as for starting a new forum or whatever is that no album is coming out soon, neither any shows.

Anyways...

For those hoping for a continuation of the forum somewhere else, here's a thread that you will be able to post after the place is archived in which we'll be able to decide the future of this forum.
