nothing i've posted displays any "ignorance towards death metal", either. unless you want me to take a fucking "metal quiz" to prove i know more about metal than a bunch of kids who got into opeth with ghost reveries (which really wouldn't prove much would it?), i don't see how you could possibly conclude anything without sounding off as a retard.

Sure thing buddy. I just wonder how we could settle this in the age of google, wikipedia and the the like.
Guess we would have to meet in real life for it to really work. Unfortunately I have a feeling that it would require too much work to get done, especially for such a meaningless matter.

Mikael is a great lyricist. the only song out of opeth's entire discography that kind of irks me is burden, just because it's so damn cheesy. seriously, an ocean of sorrow in you? ah well, it fits the cheesy 70/80s ballad vibe.
