The Beloved's Cry!!! I loooove this song...
Turbo - "Pozorne Życie" ![]() On the other hand, some stupid polish songs with stupid lyrics make me depressed - but it's a BAD depression ;p

Agree with Space Dye Vest, Beloved's Cry and Hollow Stone, and adding most of My Dying Bride songs (especially For My Fallen Angel and Sear Me), Anathema - One Last Goodbye, Katatonia - Day, actually, most of Katatonia songs.

In some way the most depressing songs I know are from the last two Sentenced albums. Some of the lyrics on those albums have passed that 'ultra depressing' stage and have come out on the other side, where suicide is a liberation instead of the outcome of some sad state.
I mean, it seems these lyrics are expressing the dawning of some kind of revelation that death is a good thing, and a happiness to have found out about this! Those lyrics are strangely fascinating, yet disturbing. Because, how far into the reaches of your mind do you have to go, to figure this out?

Wish you were here, Pink Floyd, always makes me think of a lost friend/love,
"How I wish, how I wish you were here we're just two lost souls swimming in fish bowl, year after year running over the same old ground, what have we found? the same old fears, wish you were here..." describes perfectly our separation. By the way, hi all again :-)

Loreena composed this song in her trip on Trans-Siberian train across Siberia in the 1990ies. At that time, Russian Federation was in a terrible crisis.

thanks for having 'youtube'd' my songs. have thought of another, quite obscure one, that is 'When We Go Home' by Jakko M. Jakszyk (from 'The Bruised Romantic Glee Club', i wonder if anyone of you has heard this excellent cd)
now it is really prozac time! ![]()

One of the best pieces of Hindu new-age from my collection:
I was listening to this song when I was leaving my beloved sunny home country towards the unknown.

Wow that was really magical. Initially I found it funny because it doesn't sound anything like how we say it here
here it is beautiful . It puts me into a trance-like state. Definitely brings out melancholy. Who is the artist? Scandinavian ? |

Hmm, maybe could be:
Agalloch - A Desolation Song. Agalloch - Fire Above, Ice Below. Alcest - Souvenir's D'un Autre Monde(Whole album). Mono - Follow The Map. Mournful Congregation - When The Weeping Dawn Behelds Its Mortal Thirst. Opeth - Epilogue. Fen - Colossal Voids. I know I've listened to more depressive stuff, but those are the ones who come to my mind. Last edited by Zuzuz0r : November 17th, 2009 at 01:24 PM. |
