Reamped the 4 DI's through 2 different amps and mixed the result with the backing track supplied by Jaymz.
Signal Chain -------------- DI (1&2) -> TS9 -> Uberschall -> Mesa2x12 -> SM57. DI (3&4) -> TS9 -> Dual Rec -> Mesa2x12 -> SM57. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2785995/Jaymz-1-5.mp3 Last edited by ScootBaloo : February 16th, 2011 at 07:23 AM. |

First mix on real monitors. all guitar tracks are 8505, half boosted with tse808 and half with soloc pre edit: as this is the first mix I've posted, any comments (good or bad) would be appreciated. Last edited by Seth Morris : February 16th, 2011 at 06:26 PM. |

Doing this while waiting a band (wich should don't come today) at TSR studio.
All tracks are dry. Dual Recto 2 channel NOS cab with V30 miced with SM57 and AT4050. 2 Randall cabs used but not miced. These ones were placed at more or less 30° from the cab which was miced. SSL SuperAnalogue Channel MOTU HD192 Genelec 1031 Ears. Brain. http://oxyde.clan.free.fr/NEVERMORE.mp3 |

Its only partly metal foundrys kick sample in the final, try out Sneaps "Legacy" preset, I think I used that for the basis before adding other samples.

My attempt:
Mesa Roadster chan. 4 Framus Dragon straight (v30) sm 57 ts7 little labs red eye a horrible room of 2m x 3m, there's much more of a 'mid vibe' going on in my tracks, I guess this is because of the room? Too bad I don't have a different option atm for recording. Hope you like it: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/970622/nevermore.mp3

Didn't think vox and leads are necessary since the base of the reamp test being the guitars, drums and bass. Throw em' in and go!

okay...here it is... ... but i find your snare a lot fatter than mine..i guess its the hardest part of the drums..have to spend more hours to get a good drumtone. can anyone comment on my drums what i could do better?

Actually, it helps to have that as there's something to getting guitars to fit in a mix without drowning everything else out. Would be nice to have all the tracks though so I could use the guitar sound I prefer and put the drums through the SSD Black Kit and make it all fit right. Still awesome to have this to play with and dial up sounds.
