New studio, need help with reference

Re-recorded an old track with some friends, unquantized (as you can tell ha). Not really used to the room yet so let me know what you think please!

also, on an unrelated note, does anyone have any advice for using a 6505 on pop punk kind of like the wonder years. we have an orange cab, and an orange rockerverb mk2, but I don't really dig it for rhythms.

I like the song itself a lot.

It needs some polish but the tones itself are really good, in my opinion. I'd love to sing on that.

The only thing I am noticing is that you have that sound that I get when I go way overboard with a stereo widener effect. On headphones, it sounds like everything is coming from behind me.

I noticed that too!! but I have no stereo widening on it, and I have no idea what is doing it.

yes, you can definitely use a 6505 for that! just use the green channel and fool around.

haha sick man, thanks! for the pop punk we actually used both heads, with the 6505 on the green channel and it's very difficult to pick each amp out in the mix, they blend so well together, I was surprised. I'm hoping the mix is coming out good, if anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
