Metal Bass Guitar tutorial...

Not as much humor in this one but just a short to the point tutorial:

Can't say I learnt anything new, but it was entertaining enough that I watched it several times already
Great to see tutorial videos that don't take themselves too seriously, but have some good useful info in them

Haha, cool stuff man. I had always wanted to do a more indepth one of these, also one on vocal processing and creating space for a vocal in a mix. Just clumsy with the whole recording desktop video/audio thing, plus I never had a decent camera until now.

Anyway, funny and informative stuff

The vocal tutorial would be even more valuable!

Please do Ermz

Do you always remove that much on bass tracks around 500hz ?

I know what you mean. The whole editing video process is intimidating as hell.

Great video man! How to get the distorted and clean bass at the same time to play it live using an audio interface?

I've always removed alot of 500hz. Seems to just smooth out the playing and get rid of the midrange thats essential for other instruments.

no highpass on the lower track? not even at 30hz? In my experience it usually eats like several db's of headroom if you don't do it.

Yeah but I have to break the point of information somewhere. I could go on and on using multiband compressor and what to eq and not but my goal was to keep the videos as simple as possible and just get the general idea on how I record and mix bass guitar. I could easily cope with just using the instructions in the video.
