PPSCAN 2009 - first 2 bands announced - PRETTY MAIDS and IRON FIRE
We can now announce the first two bands booked for PROGPOWER SCANDINAVIA 2009:
Ever since the first ProgPower Scandinavia we've been trying to get these guys as headliner, and now it's finally time for them to play at our festival: PRETTY MAIDS. As you probably know they are Denmark's longest living and hardest kicking heavy metal band, with an impressive release list of more than 15 albums in 25 years. From the old school metal days of "Red Hot & Heavy" and "Future World" to their modernized hard rock sound of later albums such as "Planet Panic" and "Wake Up The Real World", Pretty Maids have always delivered first rate rock'n'roll on albums as well as on stage. Their live shows are among the very finest in the business, and it makes us really proud to be able to have these guys headline at ProgPower Scandinavia 2009. www.prettymaids.dk Do you want a true old school power metal band? Well, look no further - here's IRON FIRE. Five albums into their career and Denmark's Iron Fire is quickly becoming a household name on the power metal circuit. Fronted by the energetic Martin Steene, the 5 Danes will be sure to show their home-audience how to have a good time ![]() www.ironfire.dk More band announcements coming next week ...

I gotta say PM definitely strikes my interest but I dont know if I could make it due to the closeness of PP USA.
