I'm pretty sure they enter through your palm and cut something in your wrist. mmm, special. Ah, yes, they basically sever a ligamint.

Not the surgery for carpal tunnel, but i had surgery for a severed ulnar nerve, and have the 13 inch scar to prove it. Plus the scar on the elbow for a modified "Tommy John" Surgery done at the same time. Both from the same injury. Does it hurt???? Try pulling your lower lip over you head, You damn right it hurts, but only for a day or two, then it is just sore and tight.

...just to make sure i didn't have carpal tunnel, i did have the testing for it done...and that hurts...it is electric shocks in the nerves....i got to admit though, it did get rid of a lot of the pain i did have...i still have some pain at times, but i wear handeze wrist thingies and they seem to help...

I've always wondered if I have capral tunnel but I've never really done the research into it. I don't feel pain but my index & middle fingers on my right hand often get numb very easily, especially when it's cold out.

That might be an ulnar nerve problem, wait the ulnar is on the other side so it might be oh shit I can't remember the nerve on the other side of your arm. Ulnar affects the little, ring, and inside middle, the other nerve affects inside thumb, index, and index side middle finger.

I knew a guy who had it. I can give you one bit of advice from him. It's all I remember him telling me about. It is:

Don't get both hands done at the same time. You will need to get somebody else to wipe your butt.
