These local shows sound awesome! Wish I could attend. Maybe sometiome in the future. I'd love to see Theocracy again, and also Torquestra.

I'm glad to see you're a fellow Torquestra fan; unfortunately, it's an individual effort, so TCS (known on the boards as diablomozart) would have to assemble a band to be able to perform the material live. If he ever does bring the Torquestra project in to a live setting, I'll be right there with you front-and-center ![]() I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tonight who can make it out to Sidelines...see you there ![]() |

Thanks to everyone who came out tonight.
It was great seeing so many familiar faces from the community here. From the responses I received throughout the night I believe you all had a great time. And that's what it's all about. I know the bands each enjoyed their time with you as well. It's now after 3AM and I am just getting home. I'm tired, so I will go to bed and post more tomorrow before I start slurring my typing.and remember: Judas is Rising!!! ![]() 'night all. |

Damn, I wish I could have gone to this show but I decided to go to our game against Boston College instead...very dissapointing. Icarus Witch is incredible, and while I may use that word liberally, I truly mean it for this band, and this is coming from someone who is pretty bored with power/heavy metal (recommend me somethiing to get back into it!). Oh well, Hoyt continually brings bands of this caliber to ATL and I can't say I'm dissapointed with that

Damn fine show last night. Icarus Witch brought two-fisted true metal like no one since, well, Twisted Tower Dire two weeks ago. IW is so energetic you can't help but get into it. And Crescent...after that set, all I'm saying is "Iced Who?" Incredible. |

Yeah all four bands that played last night were awesome. Icarus Witch...holy sh!t that was amazing. I got the drummer's "beaten to a pulp" snare head at the end of the night and got them all to sign it. I swear, if they don't play the Showcase at PPUSAIX I'm going to be surprised. *runs off and bothers Shane*

10-27-2007 Venue 917 in Powder Springs 11-10-2007 The 7 Venue in Douglasville I'll defer to Patrick to provide any additional details on these shows or any other gigs they have coming up. With respect to Icarus Witch, I'll agree with Patrick's assessment that the show was amazing! The band was really tight, and they sounded fantastic. I want to thank Hoyt for bringing them here and giving me the opportunity to see them in person...YOU RULE ![]() Thanks also to the other bands for coming to town and playing for us; I really did enjoy each and every band's set. Special thanks to A Lower Deep for providing the additional gear to make everything happen. This was my first time seeing each of the four bands, and they all kicked my ass! ![]() |

Again, I'd like to thank the folks who came out to support the show last night. Without you, we can't do this. There would be no point in trying. I would love to hear more feedback from you here so we can show the ones who didn't or couldn't make it what they missed. So please feel free to give me your thoughts.
Next I'd like to thank the ones who gave me a hand last night with the technical side of things and the stage work. Sean Shields, Zane Matthews, and Jon Bodan from Halcyon Way - you guys all RULE! Without your assistance and guidance, the show would not have gone as smooth as it did. Thank you so much for being there for me. Patrick was my right hand man last night. Thank you son for helping with the stage work and the sound. You were highly praised by the bands and the sound man for your efforts, and rightly so. Speaking man to man, you will go somewhere in the music business. My wife Karen and her friend Heidi helped me with the door. Without them I would have missed much more of the performances than I did. So special thanks to them as well. The bands... Sons of Scylla... holy crap - Lemmy Jr on vocals; thick Black Sabbath style bass lines; blazing lead guitar work; and a drummer who wouldn't quit... these guys are going to be a major force in the Atlanta metal scene. I guarantee it. Cresent... Justin Gaines said it best above: "Iced who?". I knew these guys were good, which is why I invited them to play. But I had no idea that they would be as tight and amazing as they were on stage. Chris Parrish has a set of pipes that would make Matt Barlow sit up and take notice. Even with the piecemeal sound we had to work with, their sound was nothing short of fantastic. It's a shame that two of their members' last show was last night. But I'm honored it was a Pathfinder show. A Lower Deep... the Birmingham based outfit brought their best last night and delivered holy terror in the name of metal. Their sound really got everyone's attention and there was a lot of buzz in the audience after their set. Granted the crowd was smaller than I expected, but A Lower Deep was noticed last night. Icarus Witch... thank you for making the trip all the way from Pittsburgh to play a show for the Georgia fans. You even had folks driving from North Carolina and Florida to see you for the first time. And you certainly did not disappoint. You gave the crowd 150% and they reciprocated. There may have been maybe 50 people there, but you played as though there were 500! Thanks so much for delivering the metal! And what a setlist! Holy crap! 13 originals plus 'Mirror Mirror' from Def Leppard, and when we least expected it you whipped out the Priest with 'Another Thing Comin'' Thanks again! To each of the bands who played last night: I can't wait to do this again with you. Hopefully word will spread and the next time there will be more people... and then more... and then more... ![]() |

by the way, I was thinking after posting my review of the bands... last night there so much true metal talent gathered in one room, and not just on stage:
The sound guy was Robert Groff, bassist for the local ATL rock band Far From Grace. Patrick, bassist for Theocracy and founder of Knyghtsbane was there helping me. Three members of Halcyon Way were in attendance (and helping with the stage management) Corbin King and Kate French of Vainglory came out to the show. Sam and Chistoph - guitarists from the local power metal bands 'Mindflayer' and 'The Shield' were there. our own Hal9000 was in attendance and I know he plays bass guitar. and James - stop being humble, you know you can shred! LOL. And there's probably more I don't even know are musicians. All that being said, I would put any combination of these people up against any combination of local hardcore/screemo/emo acts for sheer talent, and I know we would come out on top! ![]() |

Our first of many shows with the illustrious Pathfinder Promotions was a very good one. We had an great time performing and hanging out with all the great fans and bands. Thanks so much to Hoyt, Patrick and Karen for all their hard work. Thanks to our brothers in Halcyon Way for helping out. (Zane I'm still sore from the onstage lovefest) All the bands were very cool and put on great sets. We were definitely kindred spirits with the guys from Cresent and established an instant bond with those guys. It was good to meet several propower folks there. Hopefully the scene will just continue to build and bands of this genre can forge a little slice out of the south. Thanks again to everyone for all the kind words and support.

What a great show! A Lower Deep were incredible, and Icarus Witch was fucking amazing! Those of you who missed this one should be ashamed of yourselves.

Thanks to Esa for the spectacular money shot pic of Zane dryhumping Billy on stage. That is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Sorry I missed the show! I'd love to see Theocracy again real soon! They ruled at last year's Showcase!
