She is a class act and a true professional onstage.

There was no better choice nor no other choice than Amanda for this gig!

That is exactly what I was thinking at the show too!

It was great to hear Amanda with the band, but there's always a little something missing when it's not the original singer.
I have been to all Progpowers since the second one. I was not dissing Simone. "Comparing" does not mean one is no good, the other one is all good.

Wrongo! Amanda would be perfect for Nightwish if YOU ran the band. Anette is perfect for what Tuomas wants to do with Nightwish. If Amanda was the perfect fit, he would have picked her instead. "Nuff said.

Amanda is one of the best singers around! I have never seen her live, but I really like her projects. I like Epica too as well, but Simone has some trouble singing in key. She is getting better every time though, but she still has some technical issues to overcome.

I find it hilarious that, just a year or two ago, people were praising Epica and Simone for being the second coming, and now everyone thinks that Simone is frequently off-key and that Amanda is sooooo much better.

Are people not allowed to change their opinions when new information is brought before them?

If all you had ever eaten was cheeseburgers and you loved them and declared them the best food ever, and then one day someone gives you filet mignon and you say "Wow, this is way better then a cheeseburger!" Does that mean you now hate cheeseburgers? No, but you can certainly now change your opinion that one is tastier than the other because you've now had the opportunity to try both.

I loved Epica at ProgPower. In fact, I've loved them every time I've seen them. Does that mean when a different singer comes along with Epica as a fill-in who blows me out of the water like Amanda did the other night that I'm going to completely ignore that? No. Does that mean I should not comment on how that other singer was significantly better than someone I already thought was awesome, and now I maybe only think of as good, because I have a new spectrum for comparison?

I don't think changing you position on something makes you a hypocrite if it involves a change in mind because you've learned something new.
