KC Power Metal Fest news

From the KCPMF Myspace blog:

CAGE cancels; VICIOUS RUMORS added as Friday’s co-headliner

It is with great sadness that we announce to you the cancellation of San Diego's CAGE from KCPMF. The band will be taking some time off to work on a new album this year. We wish CAGE the best of luck with their album and hope to see them play Kansas City sometime in the future!

However, it is with great pleasure that we announce the addition of VICIOUS RUMORS to Friday night's lineup! The Californian heavy metallers have been kicking ass in full force since the '80s, and have over 10 full-length records under their belts! It will definitely be a treat to see this legendary band play in KC!

LEATHERWOLF will be the headliner for Friday, August 8th, with VICIOUS RUMORS co-headlining.

Keep checking the blog for updates...

“Its all about escapism,” says Scott Waldrop, guitarist for Twisted Tower Dire. It’s the antithesis of bands like R.E.M. or Pearl Jam. For me, Power Metal, or traditional Metal, is like a soundtrack for slaying the singer of Creed."

"All right, Ian. Can you please shut up for the next 3 minutes and 12 seconds, so I can play the last song." - Jon Oliva
