LUNCH THINGY ON SATURDAY???

Is that happening this year?? I missed it last year due to the guitar and drum clinics, but have enjoyed it in the past. The photographer dude from Ft. Worth I call "Jon Oliva" - you gonna be there??

In my humble opinion, I think we ought to have it on Thursday as Friday and Sat the doors open at 2:00 for GB, and 3:00 for regular tickets, but on Thursday the doors open at 6:00.
So what say ye all to doing the lunch on Thursday? And some insight as to where it will be help, as I am old and can't remember where it was before.

I imagine it's done (I think) Friday because not everyone comes for Wed/Thurs and others fly in Thursday just in time to check into their hotel and head over to the show. Don't recall there being one organized for Saturday.

As I recall this is MichaelTEOF's gig to coordinate... I believe the name of the "regular" spot is Front Page News or something like that. I missed last years because of the guitar/drum clinics, but the year before that it was also held on a Friday. I'm sure he'll chime in soon and clear things up.

I think that Friday is the best day, but I think we talked about starting it a bit earlier next time so the GB holders can get on their way in time...

Good idea, plus some sponsors maybe a little late as there is always a sponsor meeting at around 10:30

I know nothing of this luncheon, but "Jon Oliva" is a pretty cool guy... I have chatted it up with him a few years in a row, up front!

I just spotted this post. I've been setting this up every year; usually Friday OR Saturday.

I'm going to try and plan it around any clinics or other nonsense going on this year

But yeah... it's always on. I hope more people come this year (I'm talking to Colleen and her husbandbot, Tams, Tess, Clausbot, etc...)
