New Cradle of Filth album
Any fans?
What do you guys think of Godspeed in the Devil's thunder??? I am really enjoying this, it reminds me of Cruelty and the Beast mixed with Nymphetamine! ![]() The theme of the album is classic Cradle as well..overall, awesome album.

I hope, and have heard reports, that it's way better than Thornography. I really like Dusk & Cruelty, I like Midian decently enough, I LOVE Damnation which I think is their best, I'm kinda in-the-middle about Nymphetamine, and Thornography was a snoozefest.

Not much of a fan, but I suppose if I go to see Septicflesh & Satyricon I'll stick around for Cradle and see if they can convince me. Don't really like what I've heard on CD.

I haven't seen them live yet but I've heard their live albums and they SUCK. Awful, awful, awful. That said I like a lot of their studio stuff and am fine to stick with listening to the CDs.
I saw Satyricon headline a few years back and they kicked major ass, great stage presence, tight performance. Despite being way impressed with the show, I still have not actually gotten any of their albums. If the pattern holds they will sweep the rug out from under Cradle. |

Interesting, my taste in CoF is almost the same as yours, except that I didn't bother with anything after Midian since it was just ok. I'll check out Damnation based on what you've said. However I also think Vempire is really good.

I love the new CoF album, then again I also liked "Thornography." FWIW, I think they put on a fun live show.

I'm liking the new album a lot....and 'older school' CoF fans I've played it for have liked it more than, say, Thornography.
Ditto on the theme being classic CoF, too. (The album is about Gilles De Rais, one of history's first known serial killers.) Looking forward to seeing them on 2/20 here in Atlanta with Satyricon and Septic Flesh -- first US tour ever for the latter! ![]()

That is exactly why I like Godspeed. Thornography bored me to tears. I could not listen to that whole album in one sitting. Too dumbed down for me...now Godspeed...they brought back the epic song structures and most of all, the atmosphere. ![]() To those that heard their live cd or whatever...go see them live. They put on an awesome show. ![]()

I love the new one, a lot heavier and more fast-paced than the last couple, but I have never been obsessed with Cradle, but have always enjoyed them. My fav song with Dani though was that song he did on the roadrunner united.

I totally loved the first 3 CoF releases, then didn't like their mid-period, but got back on with "Thornography" (which was AWESOME). I bought the new one at Target of all places the other day, but have been too busy to sit down and listen yet. I'm really looking forward to it!
