VANGOUGH to perform exclusive unplugged set after ProgPower USA on Sep 16th

When all is said and done, and the final curtain call announces the end of ProgPower XIII, attendees can expect the usual gathering at the Artmore hotel’s courtyard for some drinking and a final socializing…

This year, however, one final event will make the weekend even more special…and for free. Why not also enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness one of the rising stars of the USA Progressive Metal scenes do an exclusive and special acoustic set under the moonlight by the firepit?

We’re very proud to announce that VANGOUGH will be performing a unique, very special acoustic set at the courtyard AFTER ProgPower USA ends on Saturday night. The Oklahoma-based progressive tour-de-force will be bringing out their acoustic guitars and mandolins to make this an end-of-night to remember. Oh yeah…and free of charge.

Performing a very special set containing their previously released material (some songs even with new arrangements), new tracks off their upcoming album and some very special covers, VANGOUGH hopes that attendees will join them to celebrate ProgPower USA, its promoter Glenn Harveston and the incredible crew that has been making this event possible for over a decade – and hopefully for many more years to come.

Join VANGOUGH after ProgPower USA comes to a close on Saturday night (Sep 16th) at the courtyard of the Artmore Hotel. Bring some wine. Make new friends. Create memories that will last a lifetime. Don’t go to bed early, 'cause after all, “sleep is too quiet…”

I was just getting ready to add the disclaimer... Indeed, this is separate from ProgPower. Just a cool idea that comes directly from the band. Think of the 6am Midnight acoustic solo thing years ago if you would...

Just a reminder to everyone... this is going to be a very low key type of scenario. Don't expect a stage, production, etc. If anything, this is going to be closer to luau-style than anything... but still something really effin' cool!

The unplugged "jam" set after ProgPower will feature a completely different set than the show planned for Pathfinder Metalfest...

So do yourselves a favor and go to BOTH.

Hey guys,

I made an enormous mistake last night. First off, I want to apologize to our fans and the staff at ProgPower who made plans to come hear our acoustic set and hang with us at the courtyard after party. I also want to apologize to the Artmore and thank them for their gracious hosting of the event.

Here's what happened: we left Center Stage around 1:00am to head to the courtyard to set up. Problem was we went to the wrong courtyard, the Marriott Courtyard down the road. We set everything up, the merch, the instruments, etc and prepared to greet our friends (also ordered some pizza and had drinks for those that made it out). After waiting until 3am we surmised that it may be possible no one was going to come.

Only after being on the road for a few hours did we learn what happened. And never in all my years doing this have I been more embarrassed.

To make up for this we are sending a live recording of the acoustic set free of charge to everyone who came out to see Vangough perform that night. Please email Clay at claywithrow@hotmail.com with your name and shipping address to reserve your free CD.

Again, with a heavy heart I apologize. At the end of the day YOU guys are the reason we do what we do and we truly hate to disappoint you. We will move on and learn from this experience and we thank you for your understanding.
