Ok dudes, now I was getting really shit results using 7170, TSE and ryan's impulse - http://www.mediafire.com/file/zuvgz0mwywt/Vermin Of Humanity - mp3 version.mp3
Listen to that to hear. Then I tried using AcmeBarGig's new G-Spot amp, http://www.mediafire.com/file/mkonzyddgiy/The Rage - Using G-SPOT amp.mp3 Listen to that to hear what I got from it. But then it got reamped by the cool ::XeS:: through a awesome 6505+ amp! http://www.mediafire.com/file/ogxqxmleyfn/The Rage - reamped version.mp3 In all my own mixes, I used the DFH, so you sort of know how they will sound. But for the mix with the reamped tracks, I actually used some samples from Erkan's collection! Here are the details on what samples I used - Drums - Kicks - Sneap kick samples Snare - Unbelievable Snare - Z1-Z4 Hi-Hats - A mix of Erkan and Behindert samples Crashes - A mix of Erkan and Behindert samples again China - Behindert China Tom 1 - Chimaira Tom1 Tom 2 - Chimaira Tom2 Tom 3 - Chimaira Tom3 All drums were Hi and Lo passed, eq'ed and some had a touch of reverb added. Now please give some feedback dudes! But more on the reamped version, I spent all day yesterday getting the drum track together ![]()

I have to say, this doesn't sound bad at all! Got some pretty good smacky drums right there. There is a decent variation in the cymbal samples too so I can't really say they're machine-like either, which is pretty common otherwise. I mean, considering that these are free samples floating around, it's pretty good.
We need to team up in this forum and program our own drum software and put all these great samples we have floating around in it and do a poor man's slate VST haha ![]()

Also, that would be really awesome to have the samples put together in one huge program, it would be so much easier to use then!

Try cutting a little at 10khz on the guitars and taking a multiband comp and compressing a bit centered around 250hz or so.
The snare sounds a little weird too man. A bit hollow. Blend in a sample with a really middy crack to it. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/631208/Fiaj%20Snare%20Final.wav try this, its from my avant-garde/jazz/doom band. stupidly punchy and really middy and full. blend that in carefully until you start getting a bit more punch and fullness to the sound and then dont turn it up any louder than that. sounding decent though man, big improvement on your previous stuff.

You would have a great improvement with a decent DI box....as you already know, those DI's was really noisy with a low level.

I know what you mean about the snare drum, I mixed two snare's together and used some compression to give it snap, but it ended up sounding a it strange. But still, this isn't the finished mix, I can still change the snare! I will test out that snare sample mixed in with the song later today.

Do you think that the drums were cutting through the mix enough?

I'm testing G-Spot from AcmeBarGig, like searching for bugs and shit. And although I couldn't get it sounding good for this song, it really can get some good sounds! Especially when I used it with ryan's impulses.

Very Cool Mucky...Is that the song I have been trying to get from you? Couple more questions if you don't mind...Is that BETA VERSION 1.08, and did you use one of the stock heads that comes with G-SPOT or did you create your own...and also I'm just curious whether you used the Skitzoid enhancer?

If there are anymore questions, I will answer them as soon as I can! I'm on here a lot of the time, quite a bit more than ultimate guitar as well.

Mucky The Skitzoid enhancer is one of the new Rack FX that has been added to G-SPOT'S Rack. Its called Skitzoid because you never know if its gonna enhance or not. I have had some sounds that were just absolutely amazing to my ears, then I add the Skitzoid thinking that they'll get even better...With the Skitzoid they sound like shit. Then I was about to remove it from the rack and as a last step I tried it again, and the sound was fantastic, it enhanced the cabinet 10 fold. So, I can't always guarantee its gonna give you a good sound, but, when deciding whether to keep a head or not, run it through the Skitzoid first before deleting it..
