Jake Glynnehal (sp?) would have been a cool Spiderman. As much as I loved Spiderman, I thought Tobey MaGuire was miscast.
There better be more wet t-shirt scenes with Kirsten Dunst in part 2, with her mammaries getting all octo-handled by that 8 armed freak. ![]() |

Triplets of Belleville
Ruled. Anime fans definitely need to check this out. Simple plot, but the distinctive characters and great music are the important aspects anyhow. I need to start collecting DVDs of this kind of stuff. Russell, read your bit on Gozu a few weeks ago, I'm going to look into it, along with all those other Japanese films discussed 'round here. ![]() |

As far as Japanese cinema ... been renting alot from Netflix lately.
Saw AUDITION and SUICIDE CLUB so far ... AUDITION was evil .. well done. SUICIDE CLUB started off good but then it went nowhere, didn't know what it wanted to be ... a horror film, a comedy or a musical. This was dissapointing |

Speaing of Japanese movies, I just watched Battle Royale a few weeks ago. It was good violent fun.

Kill Bill vol. 1
Kick ass movie. I love the merciless Bride. Chopping off arms, putting nails through heads, chopping off scalps, legs, etc. Tons of bloddy fun. The black and white scene was kinda lame though. It took away from some of the feel of the movie, and I felt cheated. Still a great movie though.

Kill Bill Vol. II is even better. You must go to the theater tomorrow, J.

but it's not a movie i'd spend money on buying though, it gets a bit dull at timesbtw, anyone who's seen shrek 2? i've heard good things about it, even the critics sent to cannes have liked it (at least the swedish ones i've heard talking about the festival) and some even said that it was the best movie shown there. i doubt i'll go see it in a theathre though, i don't like beeing surrouned by guffawing people, i just can't stand when they laugh at the "wrong" places
