Apocalypto - was pretty cool, but I expected a more involved plot based on the trailers. Got a little gruesome for my tastes, but not as bad as expected by the reviews. Overall, I liked it, but won't be seeing it again anytime soon.
Eragon - Um... what the hell? Who wrote this dialog? Who hired these "actors"? When the best actor in the movie is Jeremy Irons, something's wrong. Really wrong. Was it just me or did John Malkovich sound like he regretted singing on to this? His dialog was uninspired, at best. Oh, and I love Rachel Weisz, but she should refrain from doing voiceover work again. Terrible. The kids (not mine, I don't have any) seemed to enjoy it. I wish I'd known it was a kid's movie. Casino Royale - what the hell? A Bond movie that's actually a good movie, not just a popcorn flick? This is a first. Enjoyed it quite muchly. Oh, and Eva Green is yummy. Stranger Than Fiction - fantastic movie. Not as outright funny as I thought it would be, but really really friggin great. The Fountain - for some reason, I was totally enthralled with this movie from start to finish. Didn't quite get the ending so much. Easily the most visually beautiful movie to come out in a while. The Prestige - meh. I was expecting to like this one, a lot, since I like the director, and all the main actors. Just found it to be overdone and obvious. Ooh, surprise, that thing we hinted at for the last hour really happened, and it makes no sense. Surprised? Um... no, not really, just bored. 24: Season 4 (netflix) - Overall another good season, but holy crap, did some retards complain about not being able to follow previous seasons? 'Cause everyone repeats themselves, a lot, and again, and oh yeah, did you get that thing I just said a second ago, if not, I can repeat it, again. Kind of curious how Season 5 is going to start now.

Eragon was written by a 17 yr old kid. My brother says the books are awesome.

Woot. After seeing the trailer and reading about the story I concluded that it simply cannot be bad --- it gave me somehting a "Kubrick's 2001 feeling". Great to hear that someone who seems to have good tastes likes it, now I can't wait to see it.

Töm jordens dryck i dina ådrors gångar! |

Eragon was written by a 17 yr old? That explains why the dialog is terrible, and the idea is just a bunch of ideas stolen from other books and thrown together. Might be good for a 17 yr old, but it certainly isn't good.
Yeah, spaffe, 2001 is probably a good reference point, in that it's a bit hard to follow parts of it, and it's heavily symbolic, although you can't always pinpoint the symbolism, but it's entertaining enough to suck you in and keep you there. Oh, and glad you think I have good taste. I like to think so too ![]()

Saw The Machinist. Bale was great, as usual. I think it was handled as well as could be expected considering the plot was a bit thin.

I've watched Rocky, Rocky II, and Rocky III, in preparation for this historic event.
