while i usually poopoo (and peepee) guinness as being a pretty generic stout, it's been my beverage of choice over the past week or two during the usual beerings, and tonight shall be no different.

i think it's because i can drink 5 of them and not get wasted or feel like shit the next day.

Yes it is. Their Oatmeal Stout rules too. I'll need to pick up the amber ale. This IPA is a DAMN fine IPA.

This Messiah Bold on the other hand is confusing. It is more like a cream stout than any brown ale. Very yeasty feel in the mouth and loads of roasted malts although it is just way too sweet. Reminds me of Sam Adams Cream Stout but a lil sweeter. I'm undecided. Probably won't buy again.

I drove around to 5 liquor stores and not a goddamned one of them had Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, so I had to settle for the Samuel Adams Winter Collection mixed pack.

Came with 2 each of:
Boston Lager
Black Lager
Winter Lager
Old Fezziwig Ale
Cranberry Lambic
Holiday Porter

if you like those, make sure to try their Maudite. EXCELLENT beer, very complex with all kinds of things going on.

last night we found a british pub that even served proper pints.

had some Old Speckled Hen, Boddington's, and... oh a Sam Adams Dark Lager which was pretty boring like most dark lagers. oh and at another bar had a Belhaven. good shit.

Dude, that Samuel Adams Imperial Pilsner is hop-fucking-licious!!! I was completely FLOORED by the hop signature. It was even more hoppier than STONE's Ruination, believe it or not!!! Probably THE best Samuel Adams beer I have ever had the pleasure of having.
