yeah, new car "any" type of filter is a ripoff from the dealer.

i just replaced the air + cabin air ones ... dealer wanted over $100 for both "installed" ... got the OEM's off the internetwebs for $40

Only problem is I've sworn off anything and everything from Sears....like just two days ago

my oil change cost $100, btw hahahaha I had to buy a special wrench and I used EIGHT QUARTS of Mobil 1
It was still less than taking it to Volvo. I've read the labor alone costs $65

The G Wagen is a bad ass car if not used in suburbia ... that said I am sure you can get some other serious offroad for the same price or less.
FORD Raptor ... 120mph off road ... etc.

of course if you're a gun tottin' badass not sure what else will do?
