Maybe I'm a fanboy, but I've been listening to my frenchy shit lately and it makes me realize why once-upon-a-time-before-Thrash I listend to only Black Metal.

I too listen to the LLN. Kind of cheesy stuff. But I'm a huge fan of Vlad Tepes and Mütiilation.

I really like the Vlad Tepes stuff and Mutiilation from what I can remember, but Belketre didn't do much for me. Torgeist was okay. I never bothered exploring any further.

What's everyone's opinion on the Vlad Tepes/Belketre - March to the Black Holocaust split? I know it's considered a cult gem, but the question remains; is it any good?

The elite black metal bands. Very fucking good. Mutiilation is the best, but the rest are also very fucking good.
