Thumbs up Kathaarsys - Portrait of Wind & Sorrow

Progressive death metal in the vein of Akerfeldt & Co. Melancholic, yet terrorizing. Somber, while at the same time tempestuous. Frantic melodies that segue seamlessly in to doleful acoustic passages. These sullen moments are accompanied by dignified clear vocals that bring an air of elegance to the feral atmosphere that the guitars paint with audiogenic brushwork. Aim, shoot, fire, bullseye!! No bullshit, these Spanish conquistadors have hit the mark.

2 tracks -Walk the Mist In the Lack/Nectar In the Nocturnal River

Fuck Jerry, awesome recs. No bullshit indeed. Tons of energy here, and the trend in perfectly pristine prog-metal production is nowhere to be found, this is dense, soulful, and METALLLLL!
