Oh, that FIFA World Cup game for Sega. Don't remember the year. Me and my buddy played that game for about a year straight "back in college." Actually ruined our friendship for a while. That motherfucker.

lol @ Sirloin
I too, played what was probably the same game for hours on end. I think it was FIFA 93. Whatever year it was, it was during the era that Japan qualified for the World Cup. So, basically, it's the only soccer game ever made that you can play as Japan. They were somehow unbeatable, too.

FIFA International Soccer, actually. Colloquially known as FIFA 94. It was released in 1993, so I was pretty close.

Holy shit FIFA International Soccer used to be my favorite video game. My best friend had it for Super Nintendo and we used to play it non stop. I remember that one button essentially did everything useful like pass, shoot and tackle.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2006 (PC) is pretty much what Dev and I have been about for the past 3 years. I doubt I would see the guy much otherwise what with his loony musical tastes and all

It was the game where tapping B and C together knocked your opponent down, without foul.

I had a Track and Field game on NES, where to swim you repeatedly tapped A; to run you repeatedly tapped A; to long jump you repeatedly tapped A and then pressed B, et al. Good times.

New track up on myspace "Ov Fire and the Void". Has a laid back feel to it, not bad. Worthy enough for 29 different t-shirt designs.

Singapore's Rudra have issued the following update on their MySpace page:

"The band is pleased to announce the title of the forthcoming album. The album shall bear the name "Brahmavidya: Transcendental I". It shall feature fourteen tracks with a total running time of about 70 minutes, produced by Joshua G. Nair & Sean Loo. However, the bad news is that the band had to prematurely terminate its relationship with Trinity Records Hong Kong. The band is currently shopping for a new label home or labels willing to secure territorial licenses. This setback may delay the release of the CD. More updates will be coming your way soon.

"Brahmavidya: Transcendental I" track listing:

01. Bhagavatpada Namaskara
02. Ravens Of Paradise
03. Amrtasyaputra
04. Hymns From The Blazing Chariot
05. Meditations At Dawn
06. Advaitamrta
07. Natural Born Ignorance
08. Immortality Roars
09. Reversing The Currents
10. Venerable Opposites
11. Avidya Nivrtti
12. Not The Seen But The Seer
13. Adiguru Namastubhyam
14. Majestic Ashtavakra

"Brahmavidya: Transcendental I" will be the second chapter of the "Brahmavidya" trilogy.
Two new songs on their myspace http://www.myspace.com/vedicmetal
Sounds pretty fuckin good.

new OBITUARY is their best since The end Complete ... all the songs are brutally simple and catchy with some "drill in your head" riffs.
I know this sounds like everything else they did, but somehow this is more, I don't know, easy to digest even on first listen.

Katatonia - Night is the New Day

http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/bla...sitemID=124084

Quote:
Sweden's KATATONIA has set "Night Is the New Day" as the title of its long-awaited new album, due in Europe on October 19 and in the U.S. on October 27 via Peaceville Records. 13 tracks were reportedly laid down for the follow-up to 2006's "The Great Cold Distance" (out of which 11-12 songs will make it onto the final CD), with the new material being described by the band as "our most varied, diverse and possibly strongest shit all together on one and the same album."

"The Great Cold Distance" was released in 2006 via Peaceville. The follow-up to 2003's "Viva Emptiness" was recorded at Fascination Street studios in the outskirts of Örebro, Sweden and was mastered at the Cutting Room in Stockholm.

KATATONIA's live performance from 2006's Summer Breeze open-air festival in Germany was released as a double-disc live album/DVD, entitled "Live Consternation". The "super jewelcase" packaging features both the audio on CD and the show on DVD (including both 2.0 and 5.1 versions). The artwork was once again designed by Travis Smith and closes the visual concept for "The Great Cold Distance" phase.

Video footage of KATATONIA's March 28, 2009 concert at club 1Rock in Moscow, Russia can be view below.
