“Burn Burn” is Lost Prophets’ latest single. Released on two CDs and a 7”, the title track (and only song on the promo single) is an upbeat, energetic pop-rock tune. While there’s nothing original or unusual to speak of, numerous catchy melodies, a good structure and solid songwriting help create an enjoyable cut. The vocals display abundant hooks, while shouted choruses form a contrast to the sung, more relaxed verses. The guitars are lightly distorted and highly melodic, while simple drums and bass are fitting and prominent. “Burn Burn” is a straightforward song, with absolutely nothing new going on, but fans of highly accessible rock are likely to appreciate Lost Prophets’ efforts.
