Hey all, I recently registered here and I'm hoping to stick around for a while. I was a regular at the gauntlet forums for around 2 years and I've decided to move around a bit to other forums. Anyways, I wanted to mention my band
Ultima. We are a 2-man metal band hailing from Long Island New York, where I play drums and my brother composes the music and plays guitar, keys, bass, and does the vocals/lyrics. We self-produce and engineer all of our music at this point, but we hope to eventually get our asses into a professional studio to record a full-length album. Unfortunately, we are in a very shitty area of long island where there is not one other person who can play for us in the band, so it is difficult for us to recruit a full line-up so we can get to gigging. But at this point we can only self-promote ourselves is via teh internets.
Anyways, our aim is to create original music, and hopefully in time we will fully melt all of our influences down into one singular and original identity. We have (and are continuing to create) a darker and deeper progressive metal sound for the most part, and we currently have 4 recorded songs, and 5 more are in the process of being written.
