Check out Anekdoten - Vemod and/or Nucleus. It's possible you may enjoy them if you're a Crimson fan!

NP: Dragon Ball Z soundtrack.

Anyone heard this? It's basically Steve Lukather with Tower Of Power brass section, instrumental rock/metal/funk surprisingly awesome!

Yes - Yours Is No Disgrace

I might cover this when I get ProTools... metal it out a little. Not too much. Just do it with more modern sounding instrument tones, like metal high gain distorted guitars, maybe a cooler synthesizer sound... but I need to find a real Hammond B3. ><

Wasn't a guy named Michael Romeo involved with DBZ music somehow?

Oh! And if anyone reads this post, does someone have some suggestions for extremely folk-influenced bands like Gryphon? I'm really liking their medieval/renaissance feel, especially those odd crumhorns. I'm gonna see what Renaissance has to offer...

Yes! Check out Wobbler - Afterglow. There is a crum horn on it. Listen to the track Armoury.

Thank you, that's exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. That's two for two.

Awesome, possibly the best since SFAM for me. Quite heavy overall, but more atmospheric and spacey bits in there as well, which they've been lacking a bit of late, definately recommend checking it out.
